JUST MEMORIES Written by Kaye Parker Pre television we would sit in the kitchen by the old meters wood stove with our ears pointed to the bakerlite radio on the kitchen ledge. If I wasn't feeling well (hhmm?), mum let me stay home from school. She would stop her house duties at 10.00 am and we would listen to a radio serial called 'Dr. Paul' while having morning tea. At 1.00 pm we listened to 'Blue Hills' by Gwen Meredith. This one had a particular theme tune which I remember well. |
